The Hepplewhite Piano Trio is an exciting young ensemble, who are passionate about bringing a fresh approach to classical music. After forming in 2009 they have built success quickly, winning many prizes including the Sylvia Cleaver Chamber Music Competition, the Derek Young Memorial Award, the Ireland Competition, the Birmingham Symphony Hall Prize, the Ambache Women’s Prize, and the Leamington Music Club Prize. They have participated in many masterclasses including ones at ChamberStudio in London, and were selected to partake in the prestigious International Musicians Seminar at Prussia Cove with Thomas Ades. They perform regularly for chamber music societies and concert series across the country, some of the most recent being evening concerts at the Purcell Room, The Warwick Arts Centre, Sheffield Town Hall and Birmingham Town Hall. They have also performed triple concertos by Beethoven and Martinu with various orchestras. They were Junior Fellows at Birmingham Conservatoire from 2011-2013 and were selected by the Schubert Ensemble to take part in its Associate Ensembles Scheme in 2014, with funding from the Hinrichsen Foundation, collaborating with them on educational projects for Chamber Music 2000. In the coming year they will be releasing their first CD with Convivium Records.
